Quick Scheduling Guidelines
Quick visits: 30 minute visits. These are for your UTIs, colds, or your kayaking injury. These are "one problem" visits to get you in and out and back to your day (we know you don't always want to visit us for an entire afternoon! We might even get you out in 15 minutes.)

OMT Visits: A 30 minute visit for Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment - the DO magic. If you haven't had one before, it's a cross between physical therapy, massage therapy, and chiropractic care (sort of). You'll see - wear your comfy clothes!

Virtual visits: These are 30 minute visits for when you can't make it in. Traffic is becoming a real thing here! Acute concerns, one problem visits, and mental health visits tend to work really well here. Rashes ... not so much.

Regular visit: These are 45 minute visits. They are for chronic conditions like diabetes, COPD, asthma, mental health, and all the stuff we're working through.

New Patient visit: Yay, we're happy you joined! This is the first visit we'll have together. This is a 60 minute visit that will help us learn about you and develop a plan for moving forward with your healthcare. Bring some coffee (or make some in our lobby!).

Communication Guidelines
As we are growing, it’s important to us that we still maintain the kind of care we've given you since the beginning. We love how easily we can message back and forth and respond within hours to days, not weeks. So, we’ve come up with a set of “guidelines” to help facilitate that:

Refills: Please request directly through us via text at least one week in advance. Messages from the pharmacy go into a fax basket that is in a black hole.
Scheduling visits: Please go to this link to self-schedule: Link. Chronic concerns or those that can wait a bit are usually 1-2 weeks out. Exacerbations of chronic conditions are treated as an acute visit.

Acute visits: Please send us a text. We have appointments tucked away for exactly this. They aren’t available online so they remain open. We do a little triaging to help make sure patients have access. These are visits that cannot wait. We can get you in sometimes the same day or next day.
Text/virtual visits: Some acute visits we can do via text or virtual visit. These are typically your more common less severe ailments - UTIs, colds, etc. Text visits are not a good choice if we’re ordering bloodwork, imaging, or sending a new long-term medication. These are all worth a discussion and an in-person visit.
Weekends/holidays/vacations: We’re trying to maintain a work-life balance rarely found in medicine. We may take a little longer to respond during these times. We do our best to let you know in advance when we have planned leave.
Know that each and every message is handled with care and thought. Your health is our priority. We want to keep it that way and not let technology get the best of us.
Thank you for being part of our growing Lapis family!
