Family Medicine
What do D.O.'s do, anyway?
We're Family Medicine doctors - board certified and trained in full-spectrum "cradle-to-grave" medicine, with a caveat: We don't deliver babies anymore! Here's a brief list of some of the things we do:

Chronic care: Conditions like mental health, asthma, heart failure, dementia, addiction, diabetes, kidney disease, weight loss, hypertension, menopause, psoriasis, LGBTQIA health.... the list goes on. We cover so many organ systems!

Acute care: See us when you get sick! From treating pneumonia to cellulitis to breaking migraines and all your usual "urgent care" stuff.

Procedures: Skin biopsies, excisions, joint injections, trigger point injections, nerve blocks, lacerations, abscess I&D, wound care... all the minor skin procedures.

Preventative Health: This is our jam! We want to prevent the above as much as we can. We do Pap smears, colon cancer screening, skin exams, vaccine management, smoking cessation, women's health, men's health, and everything in between... All the maintenance things that keep you healthy.

Osteopathic Medicine: We're DOs. The founding principle is that human life is greater than the sum of its parts (it really was a novel thought at the time). Our training is broken up in systems, i.e. cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, nephrology, rheumatology... We connect all the "ologies" to the whole person and everything their life encompasses. We think that's pretty darn cool.

We Love What We Do! One of the best parts of our job is that we get to care for you and all of your conditions in one place. Of course, we know our limits too and utilize the expertise of our medical community when needed!
Our Story - Eyes Wide Open
We're two family medicine doctors who left corporate medicine to turn the healthcare process on its head.

We got into medicine with a certain picture in mind. Getting to know our patients, having time to really take a close look at your health, create a treatment plan together, or just having a few minutes to shoot the breeze about how to build an apple cider press. We pictured having intentional visits and time for all the follow up questions and visits you need (no matter how many!).

What we got was 4,000+ patients (each!), 15 minute visits limited to one concern (sorry, we'll see you in 3 months for that worrisome mole), meetings after meetings to come up with ways to add charges to a visit, and all the insurance demands. Buried deep in our paperwork and computer monitors, we didn't even get a chance to look up and notice your fresh haircut.

Not willing to compromise anymore, we created LAPIS, a Direct Primary Care. Read on to find out more!

Direct Primary Care 101
DPC is a growing movement in healthcare, but the idea isn't new. You go directly to Starbucks for a latte, Safeway for groceries, and Ms. Megan for daycare. In return you get caffeinated, food in the cupboards, and healthy happy kids. Tried and true. No middle man, confusing insurance restrictions, or wondering if you're in network.

At LAPIS, the concept looks like this: You want healthcare, you simply go straight to the source, your doctors.

We don't bill insurance. The transaction is directly between you and us. We cut out the red tape of insurance companies and transfer that savings - cost, time, and resources - directly to you. No administrators, billers, coders, or accountants to inflate costs.
Your health is the bottom line.
The LAPIS Way: $150 per month, flat.
Here's the fine print:
• Kiddos 0-12 are $75/month
• Yeah, that's it
